  1. Wines must be commercially available at time of entering.

  2. All entries must be finished, bottled and labelled wines from a commercial bottling run at time of entry.

  3. All entries must satisfy FSANZ definition of ‘wine’ or ‘wine product’ and contain at least 70% wine.

  4. All entries must satisfy the category alcohol limits. Certificates of analysis may be requested by judging panel prior to awarding of medals and/or trophies.

  5. All entries in “moderate” 7% - 11% category must contain a “lighter than” or equivalent claim or comparison statement.

  6. Trophies will be awarded to the highest scoring wines in each category. If no silver or gold medals are awarded, trophies may not be awarded at the judges’ discretion.

  7. All wines must have been manufactured according to the FSANZ Food Standards Code or equivalent, in operation at the time they were made, and comply with the Wine Australia Label Integrity Program (LIP) regulations.

  8. The same wine must not be entered in more than one class.

  9. An entry fee of $120 per entry ex GST is payable for each entry.

  10. Two bottles of each entry (750mL) or 4pk cans will be required for judging. A further 6 bottles or 24pk cans will be required if entry qualifies in top three of each category for the consumer choice event.

  11. Please endeavour to pack your wine samples in sustainable, recyclable packaging where possible.

  12. International entrants: please be sure to note your items as SAMPLES ONLY NOT FOR RESALE and claim the varietal and ABV% on your invoice. Please insert a copy of the invoice into each box if there if more than one.
